Viburnum opulus
The Highbush Cranberry Bush, scientifically known as Viburnum opulus, is a versatile large and hardy plant that thrives in various climates. With beautiful white flowers and vibrant red berries on arching stems, it adds visual interest to any landscape. Its edible berries are rich in antioxidants and can be used for making jams and jellies. A must-have for any garden or yard. The seeds ripen from August to September. Like cranberries, they are rich in vitamin C and so have a tart, acidic taste (best after a frost and when picked slightly under-ripe), produces fruit at approximately five years of age.
